How to install DuckDuckGo on my computer

How to install DuckDuckGo on my computer | Search | The search engine that doesn’t track you. A superior search experience with smarter answers, less clutter and real privacy.

DuckDuckGo is a search engine that is accessed through a web browser, so it doesn’t require installation on your computer like a traditional software program. Instead, you can use DuckDuckGo by simply visiting its website using any web browser you prefer.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open Your Web Browser:
    • Launch any web browser installed on your computer, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, etc.
  2. Type the URL:
    • In the address bar of your browser, type and then press “Enter” on your keyboard.
  3. Start Searching:
    • Once the DuckDuckGo website loads, you’ll see a search bar. You can enter your search query directly into this bar and then press “Enter” or click the magnifying glass icon to perform a search.

If you want DuckDuckGo to be your default search engine, you can follow the instructions provided in my previous messages based on the browser you’re using.

About DuckDuckGo

The search engine that doesn’t track you. DuckDuckGo is an Internet search engine that emphasizes protecting searchers’ privacy and avoiding the filter bubble of personalized search results. DuckDuckGo distinguishes itself from other search engines by not profiling its users and by deliberately showing all users the same search results for a given search term. DuckDuckGo emphasizes getting information from the best sources rather than the most sources, generating its search results from key crowdsourced sites such as Wikipedia and from partnerships with other search engines like Yandex, Yahoo!, Bing, and Yummly.
